Praise Dance - Lyrical dancing to contemporary Christian music

Pre- Dance/Creative Movement (ages 4-6) - Introduce your child to the basic concepts of ballet in this fun class designed just for them! Students will need black or pink leotards and black or pink tights as well as ballet shoes. All are available for order through the studio.

Hip-Hop - Learn the hottest hip hop moves and technique. Pop/lock, footwork and more are covered in this class.




Bitty Bellies (ages 4-6) - Children are introduced to basic steps in Egyptian-style folkloric dance and the use of finger cymbals (available at the studio). This 30 minute class for boys and girls is upbeat and designed to improve rhythm, coordination and musicality.



Middle Eastern "Bellydance" Level 1 - Run in 8 week sessions this class covers basic movements for the beginner dancer. All dancers will need a hip scarf, veil and finger cymbals. Finger cymbals are included in the session price and hip scarves and veils will be available for purchase at Discover Dance. Students will recieve a pass/repeat recommendation and individual evaluation at the end of each session.

Middle Eastern "Bellydance" Level 2/3 - This ongoing class moves beyond basic movements into layering, traveling, propwork and more. Must have completed Level 1 successfully.

Magnolias Middle Eastern Dance Troupe - No auditions required. This troupe is open to students approved by the instructor and focuses on learning choreography and performance technique.

GRITS Raq - Middle Georgia's premiere Middle Eastern Dance troupe is based right here at Discover Dance! To find out more about the group visit http://www.maryraks.com/gritsraq Membership is by audition only.

Bellydance Drop-in Class - The class is just $10 for current students of the studio (i.e. - taking another class) or $14 for community members. You may also purchase a 10 class card for $80 (current students) or $115 (community members).

Tuition Rates 2009-2010:

Bitty Bellies - $30/month
Pre-dance - $40/month
1 hour group classes - $45/month
Bellydance Level 1 (8 week sessions**) - $45/month or $85 paid in advance

*There is a yearly $15 registration fee for each student.
** Students may join the 8 week session anytime.

Private lessons are available by appointment and are a great way to get specialized training in your chosen style or try a new one! Private lessons are scheduled through the instructor.
