Dr. Cliff Cheng Presents Free Training WMD/Terrorism
Awareness 160: WMD/Terrorism Awareness (AWR 160) AWR 160 is the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security’s (DHS) introductory workshop on weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and terrorism. This class is authorized by DHS and the California Emergency Management Agency. Students will learn what terrorism is, the terrorist planning process, what the different kinds of WMDs are, how to Recognize a WMD, Avoid, Isolate, Notify, and how to use the U.S. Dept. of Transportation’s Emergency Response Guide (ERG).
This training will be a Test Prep Session which will get participants ready to take the on-line test/course. Dr. Cheng will lecture and answer questions regarding the material. Participants will then go home to take the exam on-line. If they pass, a certificate will be available from the TEEX website for printing/download. These courses are prerequisites to higher levels of DHS training. However taking this course does not guarantee admission to higher training. Dr. Cheng is a FEMA-CDP certified ICS and WMD Instructor.
