Dillenia Guesthouse ....... One of the few Guesthouse in Miri Sarawak, North of Borneo.

Dillenia - a family run guesthouse which offer a number of clean and  spacey, a home away from home atmosphere with reasonable price for visitor and backpacker coming to Miri City,the Lambir Hill National Park, the Loagan Bunut National Park, the Niah National Park as well as on transit to the Mulu National Park and the Bario Highlands. Bintang Mega Mall and the Imperial Mall ,minutes walk to the public swimming pool and the city fan park, the sport stadium, the famous Canada hill where you can go for a jungle trekking, visit the Petroleum museum,  watching the whole of Miri city from the hill and the beautiful sun setting moment into the South China Sea.

Our guesthouse is name under the plant Dillenia Suffructicosa, a plant that grows well in Borneo and is seen every where in Sarawak.This plant is always a pioneer plant that grows well in most waste land
even at poor soil condition.Later it provided sheds to other smaller plants and quickly a bushes are formed.            
Th e yellow flowers bloom at 3 am in the morning so as the fruits burst open at 3.00 am into red "flowers".

Animals like deers and wild boars are attracted by the fruits, while insects use the big leaf as shelter.

Its roots grow deep into the soil to reach the underground water source. Natives use this as a guide to dig wells for their communities.
