Rules and Regulations
Clothing
1: All members are required to be in uniform, from the time of event, to the end of the event.
B: Uniform will consist of the WW11 soldier that we are portraying, no substitutes; we are portraying the common soldier
BASIC UNIFORM
*M1937 EM Wool shirt and trousers - worn under the HBT's or mixed and matched. Basic uniform
required, usually good to have several sets.
2nd Model HBT or fatigues, these are preferred, by our unit, and would make a good starter if you cannot come up with M1937 wool Uniform, but you will still be required to get a set eventually
M1941 Field Jacket
*M1943 field jacket - this is the preferred combat jacket
* OD. T-shirt or tank top style undershirt.
*Jeep cap (knit) or HBT cap
*Shoes, Service, Reverse Uppers, and Composition sole. Or rough – outs should be worn with the
Model 1938 army leggings. Basic requirement. The shoes
should be properly dubbed, or water proofed.
M1943 Double - Buckle boots, acceptable for events post October ‘44, to the end of the war. These
shoes should be properly dubbed, or water proofed as well.
Socks should be OD wool US Army issue and/or Red Cross issue socks.
*Dog Tags are to be WW2 notched style with appropriate chain, beaded chain, or rayon cord. (M-
1940 dog tag chain preferred)
*US Army ground (M1) model steel pot helmet (front seam, swivel bale).
Undershorts and thermal undergarments are left to the discretion of the member as long as they do
not detract from the overall impression.
All insignia on combat uniforms (if any) should be properly located as per the Army regulations of the period veterans agreed that very little insignia was worn in combat. However, out of
reverence it is acceptable to wear said insignia on combat/field uniforms.
Combat Equipment (web gear and field gear):
M1928 Haversack with canned meat pouch, correct pattern mess kit and silverware.
The Musset bag is acceptable
M1936 Combat Suspenders
*Carlisle bandage pouch.
M1943 Folding shovel w/cover, pick-mattock w/cover, or axe w/cover
*WW2 issue (or repro) dismounted canteen, cup and cover
*M1923 10 pocket cartridge (Garand) belt worn alone with shovel, canteen, bayonet, and bandage
attached or in combination with the M1928 haversack or M1936 combat suspenders.
6 pocket ammo bandoleer (s) for the M1 rifle - at least 2 per man.
M1905E1 (10" cut-down) or M1 (10" manufactured) rifle bayonet with scabbard.
All basic gear is to be marked so it can be easily identified.
The ones marked with * are your basic starter kit, we have loaner gear to get you started, but you must have your own gear, with in a reasonable amount of time.
We will not supply weapons it is a basic requirement, to have your own weapon
Grooming standards:
Hair should be cut (trimmed) in a 1940's style. It must be trimmed to the nape of the neck and around
the ears so as not to touch the ears or collar
Sideburns can be no longer than mid-ear
Mustaches are discouraged, but if absolutely necessary, should be trimmed to 1940's military style.
All mustaches must be trimmed above the upper lip line. It cannot extend past the edge of the mouth
more that ¼ inch and cannot drop down around the corners of the mouth
Eyeglasses should be of a 1940's style whether military issue or civilian
Watches should be of 1940’s style, not modern sports watches.
Membership
All applicants must be 18years or older
Must have means of transportation
Highly motivated and committed
Once you have contacted us, and we have agreed to meet with you, and go over the basics with you, you will be assigned a Mentor,
It will be the Mentor’s job to help you with you uniform and training
Like I said before we have, loaner gear to start you out, but by the third event it is up to you to have your basic gear together.
We do hold training through out the year, brushing up on our basics and learning new tactic’s, and advanced training
There will be a probation period, for all new recruits,
It will consist of, but not limited to
Behavior
Getting basic uniform and field gear
Training
After Training, and getting your gear, you will be promoted to PFC.
Working towards promotion will be had by advanced training, and self motivation.
We will not tolerate Drug use in our ranks, or being Drunk and Disorderly
This will get you kicked out of the Unit Immediately!!!!
Unsafe practice is not tolerated and will be addressed
Deliberate destruction of personnel property, will also be dealt with
Thievery will get you ousted, and a good ass whipping!!!!
Participation
We ask that any new members be highly committed, and motivated
All members are required to make a minimal of 6 events trough out the year
I know you can’t always be there and things come up, and that is understandable
And can be dealt with
For the members that have a habit of missing, you will be put on probation, and it is possible that you could be demoted, this will benefit the committed member and the self motivated
Training is a must, if you miss out on training you hamper the whole team, by not being on the same page,
We will be doing a lot of specialized training, and it will benefit you in the long run and the unit as a whole
You will conduct your self, as a member of the unit we are portraying,
That means you will give your fellow member all military courtesy, as well as all other non members their military courtesy, while at all events
Once you arrive at an event, you will be designated, a duty, it is your responsibility to keep up that part of your duty, through out the event.
Check the duty roster upon arrival at each unit function
We run our unit on the military code, please abide by that
Disrespect will not be tolerated
