Reading - Vocabulary Worksheet

Each student has a historical fiction book to read. They will be reading at school and at home. This will also be included in their book log. **As they are reading the book, they will write 8 summary sentences. Information is kept in their books. Books should be brought to school everyday.

 ********We are studying the history of Jamestown in reading. From time to time there will be assignments and/or studying for quizzes and tests.   These tests, quizzes, and assignments will count as Social Studies grades. Some assignments will be reading assessments and count as reading grades. We are reading a historical fiction novel called Surviving Jamestown. As we are reading will be looking and talking about the facts and information about the settling of Jamestown.

Next Book  Log due June 5- Students become better readers when they practice their reading. Please encourage and provide time at home for independent reading.
