Diabetes Weight Gain


Does taking insulin cause diabetes patient's to gain weight?


We have no proof of this, only anecdotal evidence, but my loved one claims that her insulin caused her to gain weight over time.

No matter if taking insulin causes weight gain or not, it is important for diabetes patients to maintain or get to a good body weight and body mass index ("BMI") because so many diabetes complications are exacerbated by obesity and issues with the circulatory system.
