News | - News - Wednesday, January 3rd Hey everyone. This is just a reminder that the kickoff starts at 10:00 am this Saturday. If you need a ride there, call my cell phone at 980-5980...I can take three or four people. -Max Tuesday, December 19th Today, we had a meeting after school. We did introductions, talked about the kickoff event, and talked about 3ds Max and the safety animation. The kickoff starts at 10:00 am on January 6th, so be sure to get there on time. If you need a ride there, call my cell phone at 980-5980...I can only take two other people though. Also, if
you're going on the spring break trip and haven't turned in your money,
you need to be sure to get it in to Roach as soon as you can. The trip is to the Silicon Valley Regional in San Jose, March 14 - 21, and it costs $800 for the hotel and plane ticket. -Max Friday, December 15th We finally got our fuel cell yesterday!!! They shipped it on a plane without the hydrogen tank because it was taking too long. ![]() ![]() ![]() -Max Wednesday, October 4th Chris Curry's address is posted on the rocket party's event link, so be sure to check that for Saturday. The road he lives on is being renamed, so the map information says Juniper, but the street signs will say Puma. We'll know on Friday if the weather will be nice enough for us to launch the rockets on Saturday, so watch for another update. Again, if you haven't finished (or haven't started) building your rocket, you can work on it at lunch in Schwartz's room (D204) at lunch on both Thursday and Friday. We're in the process of getting the Robotics webpage up, so if you're interested in joining the team take a look at that when it's ready. There will be pictures from last year's competition. The kickoff is set for January 6, 2007, but we can start having meetings before then.
Monday, October 2nd Today, we worked on building the hobby rockets that were ordered for this Saturday's rocket party. It was slightly sticky, but a lot of fun. If you didn't finish building your rocket (which no one did completely), or if you want to build one but you weren't at the meeting, you can come into Schwartz's room any day of the week during lunch and work on that. Monday, September 25th This was our first "real" meeting. We talked about introducing mini clubs, where groups of students interested in a specific topic would do some research on it and give a short presentation to the rest of the club.
These topics aren't exactly set in stone...they're just what the people who talked during lunch said they would be interested in. -Max | Cool Stuff
