The Downers Grove Area Branch was founded in 1949 and has approximately 100 members from Darien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Westmont and other locations. As a branch, we study global issues, promote womens education, and meet for social events.
We support the National AAUW mission to advance equity for women and girls through Philanthropy, Education, Advocacy, Research and Leaning (Pearl). We have been active in promoting AAUW's Public Policy agenda to legislators and the public through our extensive voter registration program and our focus on local high school students. |
