 Set within this tranquil countryside, this two bedroom, independent detached barn conversion,  is set within farm grounds and next to the privately owned Apple Barn, but gated and overlooking the  surrounding countryside with lovely views of the horses grazing in the fields, ideal for a holiday environment away from other holidaymakers. Apple Cottage has oil fired central heating, wooden sealed unit double glazed windows. Quietly situated in a small Rocombe Devon Hamlet, equi-distant and conveniently positioned between Teignmouth, Shaldon and Torquay, and within easy reach of the Torbay/Teignmouth, Devon coastline. To the North is the picturesque village of Stokeinteignhead where the Village shop  and Village Inn are located. The location is popular with both walkers and horse riders and contains paths and bridleways, some with stunning views of Dartmoor National Park. The nearest beach is at Maidencombe, just a 5 minute drive away. You will also find The Thatched Tavern Pub there. Apple Cottage  is the idyllic property for your next holiday in South Devon .

The property is set in a gated area off the entrance to the farm outbuildings and fields. Overlooking the surrounding fields, Apple Cottage has a lovely outlook with gravelled entrance with ample parking for two cars or a car and a boat. The gravelled patio leads the full width of the property with good sitting out space, a patio table and chairs are provided. There is also a grassed area. Apple Cottage is set in a lovely sunny position, being open and airy. You will find ample space for a Barbeque and for children to play.

2 Rose Cottages Shaldon is our latest property, Shaldon Village is within a short walking distance with all that Shaldon has to offer. Just yards from the River Teign and 10 minutes walk to the beach, this quintessentially English, former farm workers cottage was built in the 1700’s and so has restricted head height in places and higgledy piggledy walls and floors. It sleeps 4 - 6 + Cot with sofa bed in the lounge! It has two bedrooms upstairs, one double room with a view of the River Teign and one single room with a set of sturdy bunk beds. 

 

The rear garden is a perfect little sun trap with plenty of space for sitting out. Here you can enjoy the built in barbeque whilst sipping an ice cold Gin and Tonic after a long day at the beach or visiting one of the many local attractions around the coast of South Devon.


The lounge is wonderfully comfortable. Due to the thickness of the old cob walls, it stays cool in the heat of the summer but on cooler nights, the warmth and smell of the wood burning stove quickly warms the cockles of your heart to comfort you and aid your relaxation – you are on holiday, you deserve it!
