This was supposed to be the header/logo for my proposed project for the Su-on's community website. But what can I do. Nobody seems interested in joining and building the community. It appears only I have the enthusiasm to go on with the project. So I'd better put the domain hamili.net to good use.
How I would have loved to continue with the Domain Name
I loved
the domain name "hamili.net", in a sense that should I have been
starting a blog/website all over again, I would have chose it over
"deuts.net". It's basically short and also easy to remember.
June 1, 2009 marks the launch of the new Hamili.net. I'm seriously considering maintaining the site, just as I would be maintaining deuts.net while I still have the will and the means to do so.
Why in Tumblr?
Yes
What will happen to the community?
Well, the community has always been there without my intervention. It's in yahoo groups. The members appear be more comfortable with the status quo and don't want to venture out into the more sophisticated technology and trends (the Web 2.0) in the internet. They are "at home" in there.
However, change is always inevitable. It'll always be there. In the future, when change is necessary, registering a new domain name will be the only option. I've spent and will be spending more time building my own community around this domain name. It'll now be my own brand.
From Tumblog.deuts.net to Hamili.net
I would have remained with the former had I been using the same theme as that of the main site, deuts.net. But now that it's a separate design and a totally different blog, I want a domain name that's short and easy to remember.
