Welcome to DR's

Google Site

Where I'm exploring features of Google Sites amazing new tool and attempting to share what I find.

Google Sites offers several page templates. This page is an example of the template called "Web Page" and I've configured it as a two column layout. It's basically a blank canvas I can add content to which also has attachments and comments for collaborators at the bottom of the page.

Take a look under the Navigation sidebar to the left and select "Page Templates" to get an idea of what else might be possible. Then take a look at examples of finished pages also listed under the Navigation section.

It's very easy to add important links to the side bar to the left is what is called a "Text box" as well as create a day counter in a "Countdown box".
In this right column I've added two Gadgets from Googles vast assortment of web widgets.

Google has hundreds of Gadgets available making the possibilities endless.

Comments are available anytime you use the "Web Page" template. Comments can only be added or deleted by individuals you have invited as a collaborator. Everyone else visiting the site would only be able to read the comments left by your collaborators.
