Local band, The AMPs, is invited to perform a 45minute set at the Hennessy Artistry event on the 15th July.
Launched in 2006, this is a multicultural music event that combines a mixture of contemporary, hip and inspirational music from around the world. The theme of having different music genres reflects Hennessy V.S.O.P. as a blend of 60 different eaux-de-vie.
During the show, The AMPs will be performing songs from a new album compilation launched by local indie record company Funkie Monkies Productions. This includes popular hit songs like “One Half”, “Black May”, “Replacement”, “One Million” and “Royal Flush” from local director Royston Tan’s hit movies <881> and <12 Lotus>, “Although I’m Willing” by fellow FM artiste Wu Jiahui and more! Unreleased songs by AMPs include “Flow”, “Won’t cry”, as well as the ones written for MediaCorp Channel 8 prime time drama series, such as “Anticipation” and “Comfort Zone” for <Dream-catchers>, and “Fire “, “Defrost” for <Defining Moments> starring Fann Wong. Artistes such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Wyclef Jean, David Tao, Wang Lee-Hom have collaborated with Hennessy Artistry in the past. Amerie, The Strokes, Fallout Boy, Leona Lewis are amongst the emerging artistes who will work together with them as well. Tickets are not for sale. Entries are by invites only.
