My Great-Grandparents were Peter & Doris Burdek. Peter Burdek (aka Proi Burdyniuk) was born August 25, 1886 in Zazylynge, Halygzma, Austria. Doris Yakoweshen was born March 25, 1906 in Alberta. Doris was also known as Domka. Peter and Doris were married on September 20, 1924 at St. Anthony's Church in Wayne, Alberta. Peter and Doris had eleven children. Peter died April 30, 1966. Doris left us on October 24, 1998 in Lac La Biche, Alberta. Her funeral was on October 27, 1998 at the Craigend Community Hall and she is buried in the Craigend Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. John 1869-1934. Mary 1874-1955. John and Mary are buried at St Nicholas Orthodox, Wostok, Alberta; their headstone reads "True Pioneers Fondly Remembered By Loving Family". Generation No. 5 Wasyl Yakoweshen & Yelena Hymichuk Generation No. 5 Mr. Kucherowsky & Yelena Howarschuk
