A Degree Clock

The current time is: not displayable, possibly because Javascript might be off.

The Clocks:

HTML:

This just displays the time as text, as above.

This should work on any reasonably recent browser.

SVG:

These show the time graphically.

  •  "Serenity" - a nice, soothing color scheme. Light colored.
  • Neon - A dark background with bright outlines.
  • Pizza - A pizza that gets eaten away throughout the day.

Since these are SVG files, they likely won't work on Internet Explorer. They have been tested and work on Firefox 1.5 and 2, and Opera 9.

What is a degree clock?

A degree clock shows the current time as progress through the day. There are 360° in 1 day, with midnight being 0°. Thus, noon is 180°, 6:00 AM is 90°, 6:00 PM (18:00) is 270°.

What is it for?

Fun. Nothing really important.

So, minutes and seconds are?

A lot shorter. (1/15th as long, to be specific.) Remember, 60′ = 1°, and 60″ = 1′. It's only a little confusing, I hope.
