DEEDS – Department of Extension Education Service and Research

 

  • DEEDS to offer One Credit Course to Students
  • Need Assessment Study for Child line 1098 carried out in Vellore region with collaboration of Academy of Gandhian Study - Action Research

 

BISW – Bosco Institute of Social Work

 

  • BISW has been operating Family Counseling Center since 1979
  • BISW is working with 900 self help groups
  • BISW has been operating two Crèches since 1979
  • 12 schools have been approached for Student Counseling Service
  • Training centre for women development activities

 

SURABI – Tirupattur

 

·        SURABI-Tirupattur Empanelled as Udyami Mitras by Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) UM Code - UMTN043000363.

·        300 Entrepreneurs have been consulted to establish Business units in various sectors

·        60 EDPs have been conducted for SHGs and new Entrepreneurs

·        SURABI-Tirupattur have registered 250 new entrepreneurs through Online for Part I certificate (MSME / SSI Registration)

 

TTS- Tirupattur Thenkoodu Sangam

 

·        Formation and Training of TTS management team – People Organization

·        TTS established Thenkoodu Livelihood Farm to promote organic farming, training centre and production of organic by-products for & by farmers.

·        TTS has established Agri Community College for the vulnerable children to promote modern agricultural activities.

·        Thenkoodu SHG Federation Training Centre reached 50 SHGs and 200 individuals in giving soft skill & vocational skill trainings

·        Six Orphan children have been taken care by Thenkoodu Child Watch Committee

·        15 individuals have benefited by Thenkoodu Micro Credit for their economic development.

·        SHGs have been trained successfully to take up Coir related business (Two SHGs are working with coir related business)

·        Thenkoodu Business Units have employed 30 vulnerable women and 15 students (part time employment).

·        Undertakes Government training programs for the people
