The story of DS, from a foundational viewpoint, is a story of the kind of character I would have liked to read about when I was 12.  It's the comic I never had, but would have enjoyed reading.  The format will always be black and white with grayscale "coloring".  Er, unless I decide to go to color.

The story is straightforward enough: a guy has powers and needs to learn how to use them.  Along the way he meets an interesting variety of people, both good and bad and, you know, that's really it.  I could summarize some of the deeper philosophical and topical themes I'd like to address, but frankly who cares.  It's a web comic.
