  • As an invited speaker, made a presentation on “Turning diversity into corporate asset,” at a technical  session of a One-day Conference on "Diversity and Inclusion: Can India maximize Corporate Power from Diverse Workforce” that was organized by Institute of Management Technology (IMT) at India International Centre, New Delhi on 19th December, 2011.
  • Delivered a two-day  module on “Contemporary Issues in managing the Human Resource” to managers of Indian Oil Corporation  at Indian Institute of Petroleum Management (IIPM), Gurgaon on 28th November and 5th December, 2011.

  • (2011) review of a book, Human Resource Management in Small Business—Achieving Peak Performance. by Cary L Cooper & Ronald J. Burke (Eds.)  (Edward Elgar: Cheltenham, 2011), has been published in Vision—The Journal of Business Perspective, Vol.16, No. 3.
  • As one of four invited analysts, analyzed the  "Lessons from Maruti-Suzuki Strike" that resulted from a long industrial dispute between the workers and the management of Maruti-Suzuki Ltd. and the resultant strike, at the company's Manesar, Gurgaon plant, which was published  in Business Standard on 7 November, 2011.
  • Delivered a one-day  program on “Managing Employee Relations through nurturing Psychological Contract” for 50 directly-recruited DGMs of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL), as part of Specialization Management Module,  at Advanced Level Telecommunication Training Centre, of BSNL, Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad on 12 October, 2011.
  • Debi Saini (Authored, 2011) Social Security Law in India, Kluwer Law International, The Hague. This is a 320 page book version of a volume titled:  Law  of  Social Security: India, that forms part of  the  International Encyclopaedia of Laws,  published by Kluwer Law International, The Hague, The Netherlands. The Social Security Law Encyclopaedia has been published under the overall editor ship of  Professor R. Blanpain of University of Leuven, Belgium. The entire encyclopaedia is expected to  eventually cover 120 major countries of the world.
  • Directed (along with another colleague of MDI) a 3-day open MDP programme on "Transforming Organizations through Proactive People Management" at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon between 19-21 September, 2011. The participants included middle level managers from public and private sector organizations including software companies.

  • As an invited speaker, made a presentation on “Transforming Organizations through People Management Strategy: A Case Study of  Tata Steel,” at   the 5th International Conference on Contemporary Business 2011  organized by Curtin Business School, Curtin University, Perth, Australia, during 15-16 September, 2011.

  • Was part of a 16-member THINK TANK that was invited by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and was consulted in a meeting called on  1st September 2011 in  the North Block, New Delhi on "Moving Jobs Centre stage" and "Gender Equality & Development."   The consultation, chaired by the Chief Economic Advisor, Dr. Kaushik Basu,  aimed to give expert input to the Indian delegation led by the Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, for the 2011 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund during 23-25 September, 2011 at Washington DC.

  • As an invited speaker, delivered a session on “Indian Labour Laws:  Structure and Working,” at the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2011 Annual Conference & Exposition  held  at Las Vegas Convention Centre, Las Vegas, Nevada,  USA, between 26-29 June, 2011.
  • Conducted a 2-Day Management Development Program  on "Global Developments in HR Value-creation" for HR Managers of Ballarpur Industries Ltd. (Paper Division) on 14-15 April, 2011 at BILT Guest House in DLF-Phase I, Gurgaon.
  • Chaired and moderated an HR Conclave involving a panel discussion by HR professionals from Industry, on “Role of HR in Mergers and Acquisitions” at the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi on 8th April, 2011.
  • As a Visiting Professor, delivered an international seminar (18 hours) titled: “Strategic human resource management for business impact in global organizations” to postgraduate business management students  at IAE-AIX Graduate School of Management,   Paul Cezanne University, Marseille, France lasting three days:  March 31, and April 1-2, 2011.
  • Directed a 2-Day Management Development Program  on “New Perspectives in  Value-creation  through HRM Interventions”  for all HR Managers of Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) on 10-11, March, 2011 at MDI, Gurgaon.
  • As the keynote speaker, delivered a presentation on “Promoting Employee Engagement: The Key Strategy of Achieving Excellence,” at a one-day national seminar on Managing Business in a Global World: Strategies for achieving Excellence,  organized by Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management, New Delhi on 5 February, 2011.
  • Delivered a seminar session in a development programme for faculty members of the  Faculty of Business and Commerce of the University of Delhi on: “Corporate Responsibility for Building an Engaging Organization” at University of Delhi, Delhi on 31 January, 2011.
