Subtitled Your Child Can Thrive in Public School (Regal, 2008), this book is the inspiring voice of an amazing Tacoma couple named David and Kelli Pritchard who not only believe in public education, they’re proving it by successfully raising their eight children (count ‘em) through the public school system. Their first daughter graduated a year ago from USC, their second daughter just graduated from the University of Hawaii, their third (a son) is at Stanford, and the rest of the brood are coming up through the ranks, down to the littlest third-grader. I’ve met these kids, and believe it or not, they’re learning well while still loving God and respecting their parents. So it can be done! |
