Deaf Café is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing communication, advocacy, financial and enrichment to all individuals whose native language is American Sign Language. Deaf Café aims to provide the tools necessary to create a positive and fully integrated life for all Deaf citizens through effective leadership and a menu of workable services and programs. These services and programs will allow all Deaf persons to lead independent, meaningful and dignified lives. Deaf Café also aims to help policymakers, community leaders, and service providers to identify the health, social, and economic challenges facing Deaf citizens in America, and to target resources toward sound, cost-effective solutions. Deaf Café furthermore aims to help the people and organizations that provide those services by giving them the information, referral, support, and advocacy they need to address the significant problems experienced by Deaf citizens. ~~~ "My hands are dancing like the branches on a tree.
