  We are a small home based aviary located in Waterloo Ontario. We specialize in the breeding of green cheek conures (including the turquoise mutation), green quakers, rosy bourkes and cockatiels.
All birds are parent raised for the first 2 to 3 weeks of their life when we take them from the nest box and hand feed until they are fully weaned. We do not force wean our babies here, but let them wean when they are ready. No bird is sold until it is fully weaned and eating well on its own. We are a proud member of the Avicultural Advancement Council of Canada, leg band code DDA. All birds are weaned onto Zupreem pellets, seeds, fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. All baby birds we sell are guaranteed to be healthy. Due to the many variables beyond our control we do not accept returns on our birds unless there is a health problem with the bird. It is the buyers responsibility to have the bird vet checked by an avian veterinarian within 3 days of purchase. If there is a health problem the bird can be returned within 5 days of purchase for a full refund. D & D Aviaries does not accept responsibility for any veterinary bills.
When you purchase a baby bird we will also provide you with a small starter bag of the pellet and seed mix that we feed all our birds here.
