Washington, DC ▼ 202-724-8707 West End Library Practica Update Live music May 5: dance to live music by Argentine guitarist and vocalist Victorio Menghi starting at 4pm. Victorio has developed a style he calls “Tango Fussion” that blends traditional tango with other such other influences as pop, folk, and electronic music. His practica performance will include updated traditional tangos and original songs. The Buenos Aires native promises genuine tango music, straightforward and unpretentious, reflecting true Argentine customs and feelings that have held sway for over 100 years, while at the same time connecting to more modern electronic music. A professional musician who holds degrees in composition and tango guitar, Victorio has released a CD and has performed in the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Germany and Chile. He will be playing at the Argentine Festival in Arlington, Virginia on May 19, 2012. For more information, contact manager@tangofussion.com or visit www.tangofussion.com.
