About the Artist
Emmanuel Trifilio was born in la Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since he was 18 he studied bandoneon. He took private lessons with maestro Pablo Fredes and then started the career of bandoneon professor with professor Eleonora Ferreira at the Instituto de Música de la Municipalidad de Avellaneda (IMMA).
As bandoneonist he took a place with the Orquesta Típica Los Immigrantes, with whom he played at several theaters, saloons, television shows, etc. In 2006 they won the orchestras contest that takes place in Buenos Aires. Through his career, he participated in different projects and took part in several different recordings, and integrated the Cuarteto Diagonal with whom he played two seasons at the Café Tortoni.
In 2007 he toured with maestro Tato Finocci, a famous tango arranger, in Chile.
In 2009 he played the bandoneon for the musical debut of Mummy in the Closet: the Return of Eva Perón, at GALA Theatre in Washington, DC. |
