Enhanced vigilance against disease and flu

posted Apr 30, 2009 12:15 AM by Andrew Chiu

As part of a school-wide drive to enhance vigilance against disease and flu, the boarding school will implement a number of procedures aimed at monitoring, identifying and minimizing disease and its spreading. These measures include:
  1. Boarders body temperature will be taken and recorded every morning in line with instructions released by the day school
  2. Hand sanitizers will be installed at convenient locations around the dormitory and dining area
  3. Janitorial staff have stepped up regular sanitation measures in keeping commonly used areas and all dormitories
We also ask for the cooperation of all boarders in parents in being vigilant against disease and flu. Wash hands regularly, especially before eatingBoarders should inform staff immediately if they feel unwell, and usually they will see the nursing assistant immediately about the matter. Parents should cooperate by collecting their sons and taking them home or to the doctor if they are feeling well. Boarders are asked to stay at home and recover before returning to the dormitory, in order to minimise the spread of disease within our community.

Feel free to contact the boarding school if you have any questions on this matter - our staff will be happy to help.

  • Those full-year boarders who paid $360 in October 2008 have already paid for this medical examination.

Christmas Dinner and Party - Sunday 21st December

posted Dec 11, 2008 6:07 PM by Andrew Chiu

The boarding school Christmas Dinner and Party will be held starting 7pm on Sunday 21st December 2008. All boarders are encouraged to attend. There are two main parts to the evening:
  1. Christmas Dinner (in the Glass Pavilion from 7pm onwards)
  2. Christmas Party (treasure hunt running from 8:30pm onwards)
As the evening coincides with the Winter Festival, we fully support and understand boarders who are having dinner with their families. Please kindly inform the boarding office of your movements and whether you will be attending the dinner. The Christmas Party starting at 8:30pm is a boarding tradition and comes highly recommended!
Note: Latecomers should be aware that they may not be able to access the dormitory during part of the Christmas Party.
