The Atwater Avenue facade of Montreal's Plaza Alexis-Nihon. This is the "east" side facade of Plaza Alexis Nihon facing Atwater Avenue and the Pepsi Forum (the former Montreal Forum), between Sainte-Catherine Street and de Maisonneuve Boulevard. This is the side of the building with the external entrances of three major franchises: McDonald's (with a McCafe on the premises), Starbucks Coffee (which, if I remember correctly, opened a couple of years after the McCafe), and Nickels Grill & Bar (the restaurant chain created by Celine Dion). Above the three-storey shopping centre are offices. I thought I had uploaded this Autostitch composite when I made it in April or May, but, apparently, I never did. Until now. Boll Weevil
A local San Diego burger chain known for its 1/2 pound Steerburger, Boll Weevil folded in December 2008. A few franchises remain open, but all company-owned stores, such as this one on Shelter Island, have closed. I have childhood memories of the Boll Weevil...sad to see it go.
