Welcome to the site for the new Oceanography Club at UC Davis!
Statement of Purpose:
- To provide a social network for students interested in the ocean environment who are interested in taking trips to educational oceanographic facilities
- To provide a networking opportunity for students and faculty with similar interests in oceanography
- Provide students with information on the changing field of oceanography through seminars by faculty and professors
- Inform new and continuing students of opportunities in the field of oceanography, primarily focusing on recruitment to the oceanography minor hosted by the Geology department
- Perform community service as well as community outreach in order to educate schools in Yolo County
