As you can see the new DSlite looks very much like an iBook
I realized that I had to take an older iBook and hollow it out and turn it into a carrying case for my new DS when I get it.
Everything done at this stage was done with a screwdriver, removing each component one at a time.
After removing the feet and prying off the top and bottom case the inards are exposed.
The top and bottom by themselves.
Starting to take apart the screen.
ta da, no screen.
All hollowed out, at this point most the work is going to be done with a dremmel.
Its hard to see but I cut metal that sits under the "mouse button" so that I pop it out
The culprit, with the metal cutting blade I used to cut out the interior metal framework.
After all the cross pieces have been removed.
The metal scrap, that was removed.
After removing chunks of the plastic.
Next step - precision removal and renforcement
