I will be investigating the microbial ecology of the human gastrointestinal tract, with particular attention to any changes in the community induced by antibiotic therapy. I will be using techniques of molecular microbial ecology to identify community members and track community changes, supplemented with a variety of traditional and novel cultivation techniques. |
