Current Position: Research fellow (post doc). Address Geology & Petroleum Geology, School of Geosciences, Meston Building, King's College, Aberdeen, AB24 3UE, Scotland, U.K. e-mail : d.iacopini@abdn.ac.uk
Research Areas: Structural geology, geological interpretation of geophysical data sets; submarine thrust tectonic, ductile deformation analysis. Current research activity: Actually
I m involved with intepretation of 3D seismic dataset from
contractional domains of deep water systems. The purpose is to
understand the geometry, displacement values and the relative kinematic
of the thrust and fold structures deforming the deep water systems. In
addition to the classical seismic mapping methods, to obtain a better
imaging of the thrust and fold structures several seimic volume image
processing software are applied (Kingdom software, SVI.pro, Petrel).
Post stack Time and Frequency attributes are used and extracted to
pursue a better imaging of the main structures. |
