David S.J. Guilmette

Producer/Director/Actor for Theatre/Film/TV/Script Editor/Screen Writer

Barefoot Productions
North American Theater Company
Thank you for visiting my site.

As Script Editor and Screen Writer, I am very proud to say "Contractor's Routine" has received several great reviews, including one from The Couch Patato Club, and one from Jared Mobarak, and his 2010 Top 10 List. The Producer/Director, Yuri Tsapayev is shown as the writer, and I was credited on IMDb as Script Editor, and have since been re-credited as Co-Writer by Yuri, a very fair and honest man.
In movie parlnce, Script Editing, aka: Script Editor, Script Doctor, or Story Editor, is a process whereby a script is reviewed and changed, based on input from various sources such as the director or producer. Writers who specialize in script editing are called "script doctors," or "ghost writers," and are frequently uncredited; so it was really nice to be credited. As a crediited Script Editor, now Co-Writer, it's fair to say our arrangement is that Yuri writes the great stories and plots, and I colaborate with him on the Hero's Journey/Mono-Myth structure and I write dialog.
There are at least three different movie trailers for this film. If you read the review first, then watch all 3, or more trailers, you will get a flavor for the film without spoiling the plot.

I've moved on to Puerto Vallarta, MX and have rented a two bedroom apartment on a hill just above the 'Romantic Zone', and it is all extrordinarily romantic. It's a 10 minute walk to the resort beaches!!

Oh yes, I truly am a hopeless, no, hopeful romantic.

I'm building my plan to produce my Barefoot Playreaders style productions of staged readings for the crowds come high season. The company name is the North American Theater Company. The first production will be Home Front, one of my favorite plays and it has a small cast. We'll be presenting at the Paradise Community Center.

I'm also launching Asylum Improve Comedy group. I'm holding auditions at my favorite hang out, Que Pasa Restaurant Bar next week (Oct 5 and 7, 2011.) By the way, the peso is trading at 13 per $1 USD, the means a $12 peso beer is 87¢ and a $20 peso cocktail is $1.74. It's just too easy.

Hello ...Wake Up, My Firends!!! I have a spare room with a kingsize bed if you'd like to come to Puerto Vallarta for a very fun and inexspensive vacation. There's loads of ticket deals on the internet!

BIO

Nearly 20 years of experience as a theatre Producer, Director, Technical Director and Actor, and now my flurry of work in front of the camera, makes me not just a good actor, but a great actor to work with.

I know the process and understand the needs of the Director and Crew. I am always calm and mission oriented; whatever it takes to get the job done right.

I'm pretty damn funny, too
