        Nominates McKinney for President

Last week former Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney was nominated as
the Green Party’s candidate for the 2008 Presidential Race. McKinney has also

declared her runningmate: longtime activist and independent journalist Rosa Clemente.

Their platform consists of some issues common to the Democractic party like universal
healthcare and ending the war. But there are also more unusual planks, like ballot
access, Nine Eleven Truth and impeachment for the Bush Administration.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in America's turbulent political landscape, congressional approval

ratings have hit an all time historical low of just 9%, while the UK's Guardian Newspaper
is reporting that the Republican party may be "on the verge of imminent collapse."  This
situation is likely to leave voters of all stripe considering new leadership in November.

The McKinney campaign intends to participate in the upcoming televised Presidential
debates, but that doesn't necessarily mean they've been invited. In 2004 the Green
Party was refused entry to the debates, ultimately leading to the arrest of the Green
nominee, David Cobb, while protesting his own exclusion.

If you'd like to find out more about the McKinney campaign, you can find her online
