The Dartmouth Chinese School was founded three years ago by two Class of 2009 students. Through the help of volunteers from Dartmouth College, the Dartmouth Chinese School strives to teach the basics of Chinese Language and Culture to children and other interested individuals in the Upper Valley. An hour session of Chinese Language classes are followed by an hour session of culture class.

The Language classes have four levels, from beginner classes for those with no experience with Chinese to the advanced class for those who have already mastered the Chinese pronunciation system, or “pin yin” and also are able to start reading passages, learn new vocabulary and grammar simultaneously.  The culture class activities include arts and crafts, watching movies, performing small plays, and story-telling.

We welcome all to attend, not just those of Chinese background. The Dartmouth Chinese School is happy to teach anyone who is willing and interested!
