Computer Donations

Donation of computers in Jaboticatubas In the past three years the Star of Life Healing Center has collected and donated a total of 23 computers to different institutions and non-profit groups in Jaboticatubas including the Day care Center “Irma Maria Dolores” and Fundacao Hospitalar Santo Antonio among others. Out of those, twelve are currently being used at Computer labs located inside of the two public schools inside the city. One computer lab is located at the “Geralda Isa Lima Rodrigues” school and managed by the president of the Day Care center “Irma Maria Dolores” in partnership with the Secretary of Education and our Healing Center. In that facility we have developed programs to help facilitate basic computer learning to underserved kids and young adults in the community. More than two hundred kids have benefited from the program yearly and in 2008 the project has graduated 166 kids on basic computer skills that have given them much hope and self-confidence. The program has been possible with the help of several organizations in partnership with Star of life Healing Center and many more volunteers who gracefully gave their time for a cause that can significantly improve the quality of life of those kids and their families.
