A real-life renovation of a small kitchen - small in real life not the small kitchens on TV.
We started the tasks on February 17th. Planning has taken more than a year.

After Thoughts

We knew we had to keep our colour choices to 3 primary colours.  We chose black counter tops and handles, White cabinets, and grey floor tiles and walla variation of the floor tiles.

We chose to use the back splash as an accent piece and a way to draw the eye below the cabinets.

We opted for a style we saw in a magazine.  The subway tiles are the base, 3"x6" these are pretty standard.  The 1"x1" tiles are sold in square foot sections.  They came from a local tile vendor Centura.

The top bead is an 8" bead we got from Ceratec.  It worked well in limiting the top grout lines.

We opted to keep the line simple rather than try to incorporate a design above the sink.  The kitchen is small, so clean simple line works best.
