After Thoughts

We needed to imporve the access to our range, we wanted to add an over the range (stove) microwave/ fan and we wanted to add under the cabinet lighting to improve the lighting.

This required an electrician.

So we had to move the range electric box.  Add a dedicate box and circuit for the microwave/fan.  Add a dedicated circuit for the under the counter lights.

We also needed to remove a circuit share curcuit for the old fan.

We also had to bring it up to current building code.  We did not have GFI curcuits for the plugs.  Unfortunately, in Ottawa for where our plugs were located we need a GFI breaker in the panel. (an extra $200 for the breaker)

Thank fully we had room in the panel.

All this meant that we have to also cut out some drywall and patch later.

Thank fully our venting for the over the range microwave was flexible and easily move and the drywall patched.
