Medical practices have changed significantly since the mid-twentieth century by technologies that often seem more like science fiction than medical fact.

Have you ever wondered about the consequences of these technologies beyond their therapeutic benefits? How might technologies become integrated into the lives of their users? My dissertation addresses these and related questions.

Currently, I'm working on:
  • My dissertation, an ethnographic and interview-based study of brain implant technologies and the people who use them
  • Ethical challenges faced by nurses in a teaching hospital and associated clinics
