I am an instructor of English at Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, Washington. I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington. As an English instructor, I have taught courses in American literature, literature and photography, literature of the U.S. border. I also teach college writing, a subject I love, both in courses on composition/analytic writing and courses devoted to writing about specific fields, such as Literature and Psychology. My own writing is research that focuses on representations of labor, specifically migrant agricultural laborers, in fiction and photography. I am currently writing on the recycling of depression-era documentary art in the era of neoliberalism.
