Research Interests

Gravity as a perturbative quantum field theory is nonrenormalizable. As a result, Weinberg suggested extending the definition of renormalization to the nonperturbative regime, a scenario dubbed asymptotic safety. A lattice approach to quantum gravity provides a powerful and complementary tool for studying the asymptotic safety scenario. I work on two different approaches to lattice quantum gravity, causal dynamical triangulations (CDT) and Euclidean dynamical triangulations (EDT).
