Upcoming events:Listen to Kiran's October 4, 2007 interview with Gregor Cragie on CBC Radio 1 "On the Island | Kiran Kshatriya was born in Mumbai (Bombay), India and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was six years old. Kiran has maintained a deep connection with her native culture. Her growing passion of Indian dance and music lead her to actively sharing her love of Indian culture in the community for the last six years. She has coordinated and choreographed theatre and dance performances, and in the last three years has focused on teaching Bollywood dance classes to children and adults. Since 2005, her dance classes have been integrated into physical education programs in various schools where she teaches children ranging from ages five to twelve. Currently, Kiran teaches adult classes at the Fairfield Community Place and in the Victoria School District. |
