Damariscotta Planning Advisory Committee Survey

The Damariscotta Planning Advisory Committee (DPAC) is leading a Heart & Soul Community Planning effort
aimed at getting broad community input on the future of Damariscotta. DPAC has been holding community
conversations and one-on-one interviews to learn what people love about Damariscotta. DPAC has heard that
many characteristics make Damariscotta a great place to live, work and play such as the strong sense of
community, its vibrant downtown, its family friendly nature, locally owned businesses, the proximity of nature
and culture and the many community activities and events. DPAC will continue to gather people’s input in the
months ahead. You do not need to be a Damariscotta resident to complete this survey.

The following survey was developed based on comments received at the Community Forum DPAC hosted on
May 28, 2009. This forum explored the opportunities and concerns surrounding new growth in town. This
survey is being distributed to citizens and business owners by e-mail, in person, on-line and in the
newspapers. If you would like to learn more or become involved in DPAC’s Heart & Soul effort, please visit the
website www.damariscottame.com or contact Jane Lafleur at dpac@damariscottame.com (207) 380-4802.
