 HI and Welcome!!

I am putting together this site as a way to share some of what I have picked up along the way in my study of the martial arts. . .  I hope to eventually have a good collection of not only my own stuff, but also links and such dealing with various martial arts.

I will be starting off with the traditional stuff and look at the two styles of Karate that I  study – Shotokan and Uechi Ryu.  I may eventually add in other stuff I have picked up from the classes I took in Tai Chi and some seminars I have been to.

The info I have here is for reference only. . . . I have been studying various forms of the martial arts since 1992 at a few different schools, and reading everything I could on it for going on 20+ years.  That having been said let me say that you can not learn a martial art from a book or web page, you need a teacher to show you what to do, and more importantly what not to do.   I hope you find this info helpful but use it at your own risk . . . .

I will also be adding links to this page to some good sites on the net for info on various styles of Karate.

Now on to the good stuff. . . a bit about my background in the martial arts so you can decided if you want to read further. . .

I have a Second degree Black Belt in Shotokan (a little over 13 years of schooling) which I still practice on my own .

I have a Brown belt in Uechi Ryu (only been going to class on this since 8/06)

I have studied Tai Chi Yang Form for two years or so and can walk the short form

I have read a number of books and attended  seminars on other styles to see what I could pick up. . . .

From there, who knows. . . . take a look around and let me know what you think.
