  • The Beginnings: Three Greek Old Testament Manuscripts from the Dawn of Christianity
For the first time, pages from the Vienna Genesis, the Cotton Genesis, and the Codex Washingtonesis will be displayed together in the same room, allowing for comparison between these pinnacles of early Christian culture.
 
  • Four Centuries of Hardstone Carving in the Roman Empire: A.D. 1 to 400
 The second display at the PGA to center around the transition from Rome to Byzantium, this exhibit uses the hardstone as an artistic medium to explore the relationship between the Roman Empire and Egypt.
  • Opening of Avril and New Wings 
  • After a three to four month long rennovation, the PGA will present two new wings, in which will be displayed the following exhibits:
     
     
  • Bellini, Giorgione, Titian: Venetian Adaptations of Classical Mythology, 1450 to 1600
 
This exhibition consists of great masterworks of Venetian renaissance painting, sculpture, engraving, and drawing.  Among them are Titian's Venus of Urbino, Giorgione's The Tempest, and Bellini's series of allegories from the Accademia. (about sixty works)
