The YouTube performance linked above is one of four numbers we played (and put on YouTube). The songs are originals written by Walter Miller and Phil Hatchett. The concert was at an artists' show at a farm in Pittsboro in the Spring of 2011.
Dackel is Phil Hatchett and Walter Miller. We are singer/songwriters and perform our original songs and covers of songs from a variety of genres including traditional, show tunes, rock, country, jazz and folk. We play acoustically based music and primarily perform at Loco Lu's Coffeehouse at 5210 Hollyridge Dr. in Raleigh, NC. We are both members of the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op.

Price for shirts shipped via mail order is $15. | Saturday May 19th we are at Loco Lu's Coffee House/Cafe'. The show starts at 7.00pm. Boogie, Time Warp, Chill Out, and Howl like a Wolf! We will be featuring original songs recorded for our up coming CD; expected to be released in the Summer of 2012. We have invited Eric Schoff to join us once again on bass and percussion.
Sunday July 8th 10 AM We will be playing on the Chimney Stage at the Eno River Festival. Chuck's Studio, Wake Forest, NC We have finished our recording sessions for our upcoming CD release. The working title is Year of the Dackel. We anticipate that the CD will contain 14 songs with a bonus track of Wild Mountain Thyme with a guest on harmony. All songs are written by Walter Miller (Phil Hatchett co-writing "Chill Out" and "Monroe Turnaround") The only exception is "Wild Mountain Thyme" which is a traditional song.
