I would like to convert a DVD DL to DVD. What should I do ?
A:
D2MP does not support DVD 2 DVD conversion.
Q:
I Have an original Bly-ray
in the drive, but when trying to load it, D2MP does not recongize the streams !
A: D2MP DOES NOT SUPPORT ENCRYPTED OR PROTECTED SOURCES
!!!
Q:
I’ve loaded some movies in D2MP, but only want to convert Video and
Audio without any remuxing
or authoring.
A: Just select the video and audio encoding scopes. Multiples and
Authoring options should be disabled.
Q:
I have a movie and subtitles in an external SRT. How do I mux them together.
A:
Just make sure the file name is equal do both files and start a
complete encoding.

MyMovie.AVI and MyMovie.SRT

Q:
I’ve loaded some movies in D2MP and want to output them to an AVCHD.
But D2MP complains that will only convert the 1st one.
A:
Yes. It’s true. At the moment, D2MP will support only 1 STREAM per
AVCHD. This limitation will be corrected in a future version.
Q:
I have an unencrypted Blu-ray
or AVCHD source and would like to convert-it to DVD-DL.
A: Read BD-Wizard section bellow.
Q:
I’ve made a Blu-ray
(AVCHD) but would like to test it with an external storage (USB HDD or
PEN) before burning a DVD.
A: After the conversion, press the UDF<-->FAT
button : The last outputted AVCHD in D2MP “AUTHOR“ folder
will be converted and prepared to be used in an external USB storage.
Copy the AUTHOR folder to the root of the external storage and rename
the AUTHOR folder to AVCHD.
Note: This aproach
works perfectly with a PS3.
Q:
OK. It works. And now I would like to burn it to DVD.
A: WAIT !
You must convert it back to UDF !
Copy the AVCHD folder form the HDD to D2MP output folder (or use the
existing one).
Rename the AVCHD folder to AUTHOR.
Press UDF<-->FAT button again.
Now use a dvd burning
tool, select UDF format, version 2.50, and copy the BDMV and
CERTIFICATE folders to the root of the dvd
image.
Q:I have a MKV with HD vide and
AC3 audio, and would like to know if I can avoid Encoding to create an
AVCHD.
A:
You can always use “Direct STREAM COPY”. It will produce an AVCHD but
it may not work well if:
a) The resolution is not standard
(1920x1080 or 1280x720) – will create green bars;
b) The video codec must be ISO/AVC/MPEG4
or MPEG2;
c) Audio must be AC3, DTS or MP2;
d) Subtitles must be in SRT format;
NOTE:
If your source is blu-ray
compatible, D2MP will automatically suggest to
do bypass encoding and jump directly to "Direct Stream
Copy".

Q:
I have an unencrypted Blu-ray
or AVCHD source from HD Cam and would like to convert-it to DVD-DL.
A:Use
BD Wizard. Point to the BDMV\STREAM folder of your blu-ray.
Then, choose the stream to convert, the video, audio and subtitles
track.
Finnaly you can
choose the output (DVD DL and the type of Video Codec to use)
Press encode.
Q:
In BD Wizard window there is a video codec selection. What should I
choose?
A:
It’s up to you:
a) MPEG2 - faster. Good quality;
b) AVC/MPEG4 – slower. The Very best
quality.
In real world pratice:
The diference will not
be visually noticeable for DVD-DL.
For DVD (4,7 GB) it will
be noticeable in FULL HD (1920x1080): that’s why D2MP automatically
lowers the frame size if needed.
Q:
I just want to convert the 1st 60 minutes of the
Blu-ray source
with BDWizard. Is it possible ?
A:
Yes. After loading the source, and selected the audio and subtitles
streams, insert the desired length in the “cut time” box.
Q:
I've selected a HD Blu-ray
/ AVCHD (1920x1080) but after conversion with BDWizard,
the frame size dropped to 1280x720.
A:
If the video bitrate
for the output is lower than 10mbps, D2MP will ALWAYS lower the frame
size to 1280x720. This is to mantain
picture quality. If not, you will get an
highly pixelated output.
Q:
My Blu-ray has a VC-1
codec and d2mp refuses to convert it.
A:
Confirm if you have the correct codec installed in your system.
VC-1
(WMV9) is a Microsoft® codec.
You
should install Windows® Media Player 10+ or download the codec from
this location: vc1_codec
After
download, decompress the cab file, right click the INF file, and select
INSTALL option.

Q:
I have a D2MP PLUS KEY. When I press the “Go Plus” button to insert the
key, nothing happens.
A:
If you are using 2 monitors connected to your PC, the registration
Window may try to use the 2nd monitor – please
try disconnecting the 2nd monitor while you are
inserting the key – after re-starting d2mp you may re-use 2 monitors.
