 Be sure to check out art by Bek! Bek is trying to earn money for graduate school, and she's in the process of taking paid graphic arts commissions to earn about $300! This money will go toward funding her first semester of graduate school. Bek made the banner for my blog, Czech Off the Beaten Path. It only took her a few minutes to make while we were talking online! Bek has provided a price list on her blog (the first link). Bek has a new project--Shelter Painter. She set up this project to be a way to help animal shelters, and way to sponsor animals who are waiting to be adopted into good homes. The Shelter Painter project was inspired by Bridgie, Bek's cat, who had to be put to sleep about a year ago. Bridgie was 18 years old, and was a very loving companion to Bek. Bek will feature different pets by creating digital paintings of these furry friends, and using the paintings on Zazzle designs. About 80% to 100% of the funds raised will go to animal shelters.
