CYPRESS LAKES SWIMMING AND DIVING GUIDELINES2010-2011
The Cypress Lakes swim team is excited to be entering its third season! Last year was our first year to have a true Varsity representation. The Spartan swimmers did an excellent job and we had several top performances at both JV and Varsity Districts, as well as at Regionals! We are hoping for Regional glory from our girls and boys teams, as well as a chance at the state swim meet! As Spartan swimmers, we have created for ourselves a reputation not only as great athletes, but also as students. We believe excellence is achievable and well within the reach of each swimmer in the pool as well as in the classroom. The goal of the Spartan swim team is to promote full participation while developing leadership, self-discipline, responsibility, school spirit, teamwork and a standard of excellence. At all times, Spartans will remember and embrace the ideals that embody the Spartan pride and valor. Spartans Value their teammates, coaches, teachers, fellow classmates, and their education. Spartans aspire to become a stronger swimmer, student, and person as a whole. Spartans lead by setting a positive example and working hard every day in the pool and in the classroom. Spartans own up to their successes as well as their failures. Spartans respond quickly and appropriately to each other, to teachers & coaches, and to the competition.
