WHAT A SUCCESS ! THANK YOU to everyone that, helped (buyers, sellers and "staff") / supported us with this event, the 2009 (31st October) cycle jumble. Whilst I don't yet know a total figure for the amount Cycle Somerset has raised for St Margarets this year (it will be in excess of £1000), the jumble alone made nearly £780 profit, easily beating our previous record of £302. Once again a big thank you for all your support. ALL profits made from our jumbles go to St Margaret's Hospice. New to Cycle Jumbles. If you have never been to a cycle jumble I urge you to try one, they are rather addictive, and you can pick up some great bargains ranging from complete bicycles to cycling memorabilia ! Oh and they usually do a good line in tea / coffee, cake and bacon butties :-) Want to know more about cycle jumbles then have a look at: bikejumbles.co.uk (info and diary) Campoldy (another diary of jumbles) Or get yourself a copy of Cycling Weekly from your newsagents, the jumbles are usually advertised at the back. Where is ours being held: - Ruishton Village Hall, Cheats Rd, Nr Taunton, TA3 5JD Grid ref: Landranger 193 (ST) 268,250 OUR Previous CYCLE JUMBLE. Our previous jumble also went very well, we raised £582 last year for St.Margaret's Somerset Hospice. Our grand total donated to St Margaret's Hospice currently stands at a very respectable £1702! THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED OUT OR SUPPORTED US IN THIS EFFORT. |
