Cycle Somerset Rides for 2009

Throughout the summer we run a bi-weekly rides programme which can be viewed on our calendar (see the home page).  Alternatively, to download the list as an Adobe document click on the "Rides List.pdf" attachment at the bottom of this page.

In addition to these "official" rides we often get together at additional times - if you would like email notification of these just drop Jonathan an email requesting that you be added to the "informal rides list".    See Contact Us pages for email addresses!

Monthly Meetings

Want another excuse to get out on the bike - then why not join us for our monthly club meeting. These are very informal events where the general day to day running of the club is discussed, the world is put to rights and the occasional pint of beer is consumed.

We meet on the first Wednesday of the month, between 8 – 10 pm at the Queens Arms, Pitminster.

Forthcoming meetings:
  2nd Dec and
  6th Jan 2010 !

Audax UK
The long distance cycling organisation!

Audax UK (also known as AUK) oversees the running of long-distance cycling events, and, using a system of timed checkpoints, validates and records every successful ride.
The 'classic' distances for AUK events are 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km.  However AUK aims to have something for everybody and events start from 50km (about 32 miles) and go all the way up to 1400km (about 875 miles)
