All results of Masood et al. shown here were obtained by running the code provided by Jiejie Zhu (one of the authors. Their code is available at http://sites.google.com/site/jiejiezhu1/)

It is clear that the method of Masood et al. does not correct over-exposed regions sufficiently. Moreover, artifacts such as holes and color aberration are introduced. Because of this, we originally showed only their best result in our paper (Figure 5).

Our method clearly produces a more pleasing result.
