The Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems (CVIS) Group was established in 2003 in Faculty of Information and Communication Technology. The goal of the group is to investigate the scientific principles underlying human and animal intelligence, and its applications in solving real-world problems.

Our current emphasis is in developing vision systems that are trainable and adaptive, capable of functioning flexibly and robustly in complex changing environment. The tools and techniques being used are, but not limited to:

  • Multilayer Perceptrons
  • Convolutional Neural Networks
  • AdaBoost
  • Evolutional Algorithms
  • Swarm Intelligence
  • Fuzzy Logic
