Only this time I waited until around 1930 HRS to hit the hill (while the wife and her friends hit the nightspots of Glasgow). The sun was getting low and the light was streaming across the hill giving some beautiful colours. It was far less harsh and more diffuse than the mid-day sun. While I knew this would be the case, I'd never actually practiced it (I usually like a few beers at this time). Out came the big scissors for a small spot of pruning and tidying up any nasty distractions around the grass stem (gingerly working around the wee yin).
